The aquathlon closes the MTRI 2023 with more than 4.000 triathletes among all the venues

The strong winds force the suspension of the cycling segment and the conversion of the Olympic athlete into an aquathlon.

MTRI Valencia The competition and the circuit closed yesterday Mediterranean Triathlon with the dispute of the queen distance of the triathlon, the Olympic, but it could not be.

Francisco Ruiz from the JMC Sport Team took the first position on the men's podium and Belén Baidez from the Almansa Triathlon Club the women's podium.

Pablo Sospreda Miró from the Castellón Triathlon Club and José Luis García from Tripuçol occupied the second and third position.

On the women's podium Ester Martínez from the Almansa Triathlon Club and Pilar Raro from CDT Resistentia T3 completed second and third place.

More than 4.000 triathletes in the MTRI 2023 edition

The delivery of trophies of the MTRI Valencia aquathlon closes the MTRI 2023 circuit.

More than 4.000 triathletes registered in the 3 venues: Alicante, Castellón and Valencia, recovering the popular participation prior to the pandemic, with more than 70% of non-federated athletes.

Some figures that show that triathlon is on the horizon for many athletes as a future challenge and that MTRI is the benchmark event for our sport in Spain.

With the participation of clubs from all over Spain and a 2% foreign participation in the 3 venues.

In this sense, the Albacete Triathlon Club, Correcaminos.org and the Castellón Triathlon Club have received the Austral Grand Prize, being the most participatory of the MTRI 2023 circuit. Which means that they will be able to enjoy €1.000, €600 and €300 respectively in southern material.

2024 will undoubtedly return with news that will soon be communicated by the Triathlon Federation of the Valencian Community.
