The Catalan Marcel Zamora joins the list of candidates to win the Bilbao Triathlon

Marcel Zamora has been the last of the professional triathletes to join the cartel of III Bilbao Triathlon of the next day 18. Given his great form and his extensive track record, he is considered one of the favorites to win against rivals such as Mikel Elgezabal or Andrew Starykowicz.

The Barcelona man will arrive in Bilbao after finishing third in the Samui Triathlon of Thailand disputed at the end of April. Zamora wants to remove the thorn of the two previous editions, which was very close to victory. In 2011 he finished runner-up, while last year some physical problems motivated by stress did not allow him to get on the podium (4º).

However, Zamora accumulates a wide list of achievements and among its best results include the five consecutive wins in the Nice Ironman (from 2006 to 2010), two victories in the Ironman 70.3 of Monaco (2006 and 2007), three wins in the Embrunman (2009, 2010 and 2012), a 'top 20' in the Ironman of Hawaii, and a runner-up in the world of Distant Long Duathlon in 2003.

The incorporation of Marcel Zamora to the Bilbao Triathlon puts the icing on a real luxury sign that consolidates the participation of a test in which they will also be Mikel Elgezabal, Andrew Starykowicz, Fraser Cartmell, Gomez Cubero, Richard Calle, Albert Moreno or Sergio Marqués, among others.

There are no previous results.
