Emilio Aguayo opens the 2015 season of the Spanish triathlon

This Sunday the CAMTRI Cup (old PATCO) of La Paz, in Argentina, is disputed. It will be the first ITU triathlon competition with Spanish representation, by the Valencian triathlete Emilio Aguayo.

El International Triathlon of La Paz celebrates its XXXI edition, also called "The largest Triathlon Party in America" ​​due to the impressive atmosphere that is experienced throughout the tour, where Argentine fans turn the swimming circuits, cycling and running on foot into a gigantic "soccer field", full of people who never cease to encourage all the triathletes, in that effusive way that only Argentines have. The best definition of how this triathlon is lived was carried out by journalist Luis Gómez (eldiario.com.ar): "DAN GANAS DE APLAUDIR AL PÚBLICO".

The competition will start with the women's race (14: 00hs) in which a hand to hand between the domes best Argentine triathletes Romina Palace y Romina Biagioli. The cut in the water is difficult unless one of the young sub23 debuted in the category can break the race in swimming.

Another fact to take into account is the loss that the Chilean Valentina Carvallo can have with respect to the Rominas after swimming, if she does not lose much she can surely link with them by bike ... and then try to attack, given that Valentina is the best cyclist in the competitors and comes plethoric after his 2a place in the 70.3 of Pucon last week.

Presumably the race on foot will be the one that dictates sentence, there the heat and the humidity will cause that the race takes it the one who best knows dosificarse, in our opinion the podium must be between the two Rominas, the Chilean Flavia Díaz and the Ecuadorian Maria Cristina Farez .

Subsequent to the 16: 45 will be the men's race. Emilio Aguayo he has before him the possibility of making his best international results and getting some valuable points, in normal conditions we see him fighting for the top10. We will see how it affects the humidity and heat that will be in La Paz.

In the swim there will be a safe cut, because the same Aguayo together with the Argentines Luciano Farias and Martín Beridian will impose a devastating rhythm. Behind the two big favorites Gonzalo Tellechea and Luciano Taccone will try to lose as little time as possible.

We calculate that the delay in the T1 can be between 1 'and 1'30' '. Then the cycling segment can mark the course of the race. If there is understanding in front and a group of "swimmers" is formed, Taccone and Tellechea will have a difficult link ... which would increase Aguayo's options to fight for its something more than the top10, although it is normal to regroup, since with the Two favorites will also be Ecuadorians Andrés Cabascango and Ramón Matute, Uruguayan Martín Oliver and great cyclist Bruno Baldini.

Finally in the race on foot ... the humidity and the heat will be the judge of peace, where Taccone (as he showed with his victory in Huatulco WC) is one of the best in the world, although his fitness is unknown, ( he was hit in September and the recovery has been slow).

Tellechea is almost on par with Taccone, who is much better in form. Behind the third place on the podium should be between four triathletes, Cabascango, Matute, Oliver and the Chilean Ulloa. Finally, if Aguayo holds up well the humidity and heat can be very close to all of them.
