EPIC 5 Ends today in Kona
If anyone has an objective and fights for it, anything can be achieved. Josef Ajram winner of EPIC 2011
Carlos Llano and Pep Sanchez, are the triathletes who represent Spain in this challenge of completing 5 Ironman within 5 consecutive days, the ultra-long-distance test par excellence that, in 2011, the Spanish Josef Ajram also managed to win, completing the 19 km of swimming, 900 km by bike and 210 km of running in 59 hours and 50 minutes.
An extremely tough challenge that is celebrated in Hawaii and that began last October 24 on the Island of Kauaí, passing through Oahu, Molokai, Maoi and ending today in Kona.
An unprecedented "journey", in which each day the participating triathletes will have to complete a circuit consisting of the Ironman distance (3800 meter swim, 180 km by bike to finish with a 42 km run) in approximately 15 hours.
The test will end this Monday Spanish time.
