Valencia Triathlon starts successfully on its first day of triathlon for all

More than 3600 participants in the modalities of adults and Aquatlón Escolar will compete in the Royal Navy throughout the weekend.

 

At 8 in the morning on Saturday, September 10, a great atmosphere surrounded the Royal Navy in anticipation of the start of the 2016 edition of Valencia Triathlon, with many new features and spaces for celebration.

 Miriam Gregori, Carlos Torres, Adrián Sáez and Sara Alemany were the protagonists of the day in which she competed in the modalities of Women's Triathlon, Male Supersprint, and Female and Male Sprint.

It was the Women's Triathlon participants who took the start a few minutes after the 8 in the morning. Miriam Gregori beat the test with a time of 40 minutes and 7 seconds, mark much lower than other editions. Ainoa Collado del Tripuçol was the second participant to cross the finish line just 50 seconds later and Arantxa Esteban was third with a time of 41 minutes and 13 seconds.

At the 9 and 5 morning minutes the triathletes of the men's supersprint faced the first swim segment in a very contested race until the last segment of the race on foot in which Carlos Torres of the Club L'Espenta Oliva was proclaimed champion with a total time of 34 minutes and 50 seconds. Second was the young Javier Llopis with 35'44 "and third on the Miguel Lorente podium with a 35'50 brand".

The very young triathletes Adrián Saez and Sara Alemany won the sprint distance, awarding their Tripuçol club the wonderful trophies with the image of the emblematic Veles e Vents building.

Adrián Sáez was outstanding from the first moment of the test. He scored the three best partials of the entire competition ending with a final time of 1: 06: 42. The fight was behind with consolidated triathletes such as Roberto Garijo of CT Huracán Hammer and Chema Sayas of Tricanet de Berenguer, who finished in second and third place with times of 1.08.26 and 1.08.36.

The victory in women was for Sara Alemany in 1.17.55, by 1.19.33 of Andrea Fos from VRP Mortes Bikes - CT Sueca and 1.19.57 for Roser Verdevio, from CEA Bétera. Three very young triathletes who took the podium and who are beginning to excel in major events such as the Valencia Triathlon.

Large influx of public in all areas of this Valencia Triathlon 2016, attended by the Councilor for Sports Maite Girau and the Managing Director of the José Vicente Berlanga Municipal Sports Foundation, very present in the major sporting events of the city of Valencia and providing your support at all times to the organization.

In the afternoon session the Aquatlón Escolar was celebrated, with almost 300 children participating in the final party of the Vialterra Sports Games of the Valencian Community.

Today will be the appointment will be for the Olympic modality, with great names of the national and international triathlon in the women's event such as Joselyn Brea, Sara Pérez, Anna Godoy and the double winner of the event and poster image of this edition Miriam Muñoz

Top-level athletes such as Roberto Sánchez Mantecón, Antonio Benito, Ramón Ejeda, English, Emilio Aguayo, Victor Benages or the winner 2015 Alberto Romero, who will fight for the economic prizes that this year distribute the attractive amount of 12000 € in prizes.

The competition of this Sunday 11 of September will begin at 7.30 hours with the men's event in which the triathletes will come with options to the podium and the 9 will take place the appointment with the females.
