Fernando Simón “A person running alone down the street or a person riding a bicycle alone does not imply a risk to society.”

"It is true that we cannot make exceptions that generate risks that this person stops being alone"

Fernando Simon, Director of  Coordination Center for Health Alerts and Emergencies answered yesterday in answers to journalists' questions about the risks involved in running or cycling

"This is a matter of risk, a single person cannot transmit to anyone"

"It is true thate we cannot make exceptions that generate risks that that person stops being alone.

It is also true that as we get closer to the goals that we have set for controlling the epidemic, I understand that it is reasonable and has been on the table in all discussions for a long time, possible situations that do not imply risk for the rest of society and that progressively as we have been learning.

As we are more responsible, as we know how to apply control and social distancing measures well, different decisions can be made ”

If standards are met, there is no risk to society

“A person running alone down the street or a person riding a bicycle alone does not imply a risk to society.

Now, if that is going to imply that I am going to get together with another who runs alone in front of mei and that with 3 others who are also running in front of me and we are going to get together to runr, that's obviously aa very misinterpretation of how we should prevent and control this disease.

We leave you a video of Iberobike with his statements
