Francisco Rios triathlete sanctioned for doping, apologize to the world of triathlon

"I apologize to the world of triathlon for having stained the name of this wonderful sport that has given me so much and to which I feel that I have failed enormously and I hope to be able to compensate it in the future in some way"

Yesterday we reported the positive publication of this under 23 triathlete in the list of athletes doped by the CSD. The triathlete has made the following statement public

"Hello to everyone, I public this statement to clarify the issue of the doping penalty that I am fulfilling and that was made public yesterday in various media. With this I intend to stop speculating about this and especially this issue do not splash anyone else, which is beginning to happen in social networks, as I consider myself solely responsible for it.

First of all I want to admit that I took a forbidden substance, (terbutaline), a medicine with bronchodilator action, which is indicated in medicine in the short-term treatment of asthma, and pulmonary obstructions such as emphysema and chronic bronchitis, which I greatly regret and now I'm paying for it.

Second. Unlinking all my surroundings (family, club, friends ...) nothing and nobody had to do with that decision, which was something totally personal.

Third. To apologize to all the people (friends, family, Club, collaborators, etc.), who have supported me so much.

Equally ask forgiveness to the world of triathlon for having stained the name of this wonderful sport that has given me so much and to which I feel that I have failed enormously and I hope to be able to compensate it in the future in some way.

In these moments I am totally overwhelmed and sunk, and I think it is a punishment that I also have to pay in addition to the sports sanction."
