Half Challenge Barcelona Maresme opens registration for next October 10 for Open and Relays

Calella will host the next 19 of May of the 2013, the Half-Challenge Barcelona-Maresme event, which this year will also be the European Distance Distance Triathlon Championship and will feature great news for all its participants.

Among the most relevant, and always fulfilling its identity mark of quality in its circuits and attention to the triathlete, Half Challenge will count this year with the expansion of the number of participants to 2500 triathletes of which 1000 places will be reserved for Open category and relays and where there will be another 1500 for the Elite categories and Age Groups of the European Middle Distance Championship.

The next Wednesday 10 from October to 10 in the morning Registration will remain open, both for federated and non-federated of the Open and Relays test, not being until October 25 when triathletes who want to compete in the European Middle Distance Championship and who will have to comply with the ETU regulations for their participation in Elite category and Age Groups.

As a novelty, this year Half Challenge Barcelona-Maresme will have a new 1 cycling circuit single lap of 90 km, which due to its characteristics will reduce the possibility of Drafting and increase the capacity of the number of triathletes (more information about the route soon), also having a more enjoyable and urban running circuit and a rectangular swimming circuit.

In addition, the triathletes will have a "luxury" arrival. Half Challenge will have a post-goal recovery area in the Sport Area facilities where you can find a pool of 50 m as well as showers and physiotherapy area.

The "Llobet Factory" will be the neuralgic center of the competition, a diaphanous ship and with an excellent conditioning to host the Expo area as well as the celebration of Briefing, delivery of numbers, prizes and Pasta Party, being another point to highlight the final party that will be held after the awards ceremony and will be open to both participants and volunteers and that will also have live music.
