ICAN Triathlon is forced to suspend the Half ICAN Sevilla of the 5 in October

The test that was to be held this weekend has been suspended by those responsible for ICAN Triathlon.

 

From the organization of ICAN We have received a press release that we explain below:

 

ICAN Triathlon will compensate all participants with a free registration in any test of the ICAN Series of 2015.

 

Release:

The people in charge of ICAN Triathlon communicate to all those interested the suspension of the Half test that was to be played next October 5.

 

The reason for this cancellation is the knowledge, by central ICAN, of the non-existence of the necessary permits for the correct development of the competition, both in the Guadalquivir River and in the streets of the city of Seville, by the company franchisee

 

The application and confirmation of the permits is the sole responsibility of Positive Events SL, the company that holds the franchise rights in Andalusia and is responsible for the management of the test in Seville.

 

During the months prior to the event, Positive Events SL has assured ICAN that all permits were confirmed, so ICAN Triathlon is another victim of this negligence.

 

However, these irregularities were detected on Wednesday and since then ICAN Triathlon officials have tried by all means to find a solution that would allow the development of the test. However, the lack of time has forced the painful decision to suspend the planned competition.

 

We want to highlight the fact that the ICAN tests are developed through a franchise system, with which the organizational managers of each test are different. We also want to record that the rest of the ICAN tests are not affected by this absolute negligence and lack of rigor demonstrated by the company Positive Events SL, inasmuch as the organizers are absolutely independent of each other.

 

For this reason, ICAN triathlon also decides to temporarily suspend the registrations of the ICAN Málaga 2015, being a test so far franchised to the same company Positive Events SL

 

ICAN Triathlon has the firm intention to undertake all the necessary legal actions against Positive Events SL, to protect the interests of themselves and of all those affected, putting at the service of these all their technical and legal resources.

 

From ICAN Triathlon we can only deeply regret all the damages caused to the participants of Half Sevilla 2014, main actors of all our events.
