Héctor Guerra and Katarina Larrson win a Lisbon Triathlon marked by rain

Today has been held the eleventh edition of the Lisbon Triathlon where the harsh weather conditions have marked the competition.

The race started at the 8 in the morning at the Campo de las Naciones in Lisbon, where after the 1,9 km of swimming the first to leave the water was the Portuguese Sergio Marques followed by Jose Estrangeiro. Héctor Guerra left 2 minutes later.

The cycling sector although a priori was not hard was decisive due to the heavy rain, the cold and the wind that made it decisive for the race.

The seniority of Hector Guerra in this segment, together with the weather conditions, it allowed him to climb several places to start in the T2.

After a hard race on foot, where the rain accompanied them at all times, he knew how to maintain the advantage to reach the finish line and repeat the victory of last year with a final time of 4: 06: 39, followed in second position by The Portuguese José Estrangeiro (4: 13.52) and Sérgio Marques (4: 26: 11)) in third final position.

"On the bike I had to give everything, because I knew that in the race I do not have very good shape, so I made a difference on my bike or I could not do anything"Hector commented in meta.
