From the great family that joined the Barceló Isla Cristina Hotel, which made the event an 4 * as its category (the 5 * one will have to be won over time), until the great final awards gala, there was always a great brotherhood among all the participants, who in this premiere were participating 221, of which 179 arrived at the central beach of Isla Cristina. That is the goal of Iberman, quality at the best price. The message has spread throughout the Triathlon world with participants from all over the country.

The test itself, as expected, was spectacular from start to finish. The exit jumping from the barges will be something that the participants will never forget; swimming downstream and with the current in favor was one of the most intense moments of the day, as they reached speeds of vertigo, finishing the first classified, the luso David Caldeirao the 1.8 km in only 19: 16; then, the spectacular route of 100 km through the villages of Ayamonte, Villablanca, San Silvestre, Sanlúcar de Guadiana, El Granando and Villanueva de los Castillejos, where Héctor Guerra flew through the mountains with an average higher than the 42 km / h; and as a dessert, those last 19 kilometers by the spectacular greenway framed in a natural area surrounded by marshes, to finish the last 4km by the beach, reaching the goal arch only reserved for the finisher a few meters from the steps of the beach central of Isla Cristina.

And focusing on that finisher, the great protagonist was the Madrilenian Hector Guerra, former professional cyclist, although he came third from the water, in the bike sector was a "lightning", taking an advantage of more than 10 minutes on the second classified, unbridgeable advantage in the stretch of the race, where not only lost time, but increased its difference from the rest of rivals, ending with a total time of 4: 01: 32 seconds. The second place in the general was for José Manuel Ortega (4: 22: 00), and completed the podium the great local bet, the triathlete of San Bartolomé de la Torre, Francisco Macías, that got to be placed second, to finish in a more than worthy third place.

In the category of Females, the victory was for María Jesús Sierra, who completed the tour in 5 hours 37 minutes. They accompanied him on the podium Isabel Carrillo y Ana Belén Naranjo.
