Iberman 2017 opens registrations next Monday

A four-way agreement reached by the Spanish Triathlon Federation, the Portuguese Triathlon Federation, the Andalusian Triathlon Federation and Iberman will reactivate the Iberian Medium and Long Distance Triathlon Championship, which will be held next October's 21.

Last Wednesday the representatives of the Spanish Federation, Andalusia and Iberman, to take one more step of what will be the Iberman tests of the next 21 in October. It has been agreed to create an Organizing Committee among all the parties to make the biggest test and to consolidate in the future as the Iberian championship of MD and LD.

The registrations will open next March 13 and will be done through the platform of the Andalusian Triathlon Federation, taking preference and safe place triathletes who have made their reservation, ALWAYS CONFIRM YOUR REGISTRATION BEFORE THE 19 OF MARCH. When done through the platform of the Fatri, you must re-fill the form and make the payment according to the chosen option. 

This year the MD and LD calendar will have its starting and finishing point on Portuguese soil, on Montegordo beach.

The Long Distance competition will have the same route as in 2014 and 2015, placing the T2 in the Spanish town of Ayamonte, where the sector of the race will start on foot until finishing on the promenade of the Portuguese beach, after crossing the bridge International that unites both countries.

The one of Average Distance will be the first time that is done in its totality in Portugal, having the same place of exit and arrival that the LD. The bike sector will be spectacular, taking the triathletes to Alcoutín, bordering the Guadiana River.
