Madrid will host this weekend the first appointment of WILD WOLF Triathlon Series by POLAR
After the excellent reception that WILD WOLF Triatlon Series by POLAR had last year in the Spanish capital, where nearly two thousand triathletes came to the Casa de Campo to enjoy this great weekend, Madrid has been one more year the city chosen to celebrate the first of the tests of this long-awaited event.
WILD WOLF Triathlon Series by POLAR already has a forecast of more than 8000 registered in the 5 tests that will host this 2012, 33% higher than last year, thus becoming the largest Triathlon circuit at the National level and that this year will be present in Madrid, Castellón, Barcelona, Andorra and A Coruña.
In addition, this year WILD WOLF is joining the team as the main sponsor of the event, which, together with POLAR, the world leader in training computers, have shown their great involvement with this sporting event that will tour the entire national territory.
Under the quality guarantee of WIN SPORTS FACTORY and LAETUS SPORT, organizers of this event, this circuit has been endorsed as one of the best at an international level thanks to its excellent routes as well as the unique attention to the triathlete.
From this Friday at 17.00:750 p.m. the numbers can be collected in the tents located in the country house, for the test that will begin with the Sprint distance (23.1m-5km-16km) next Saturday, July 10.00 at XNUMX:XNUMX a.m. the morning, with several differentiated outputs for relays, male and female.
In the afternoon we will be able to see both popular and federated triathletes compete on the Olympic Distance (1.500m-38.5km-10km) that will start at 16.00:20.45 p.m. in the same way counting with differentiated series and ending at XNUMX:XNUMX p.m. in the afternoon.
However, until Sunday morning the “queen test” of this great weekend will not arrive, the Medium Distance Triathlon.
This year the WILD WOLF Triathlon Series by POLAR will have the novelty of being the first time that this test (1.900m-79km-20km) leaves the Casa de Campo on its cycling route, running along the border roads and thus counting on a much smaller number of laps on this route, offering greater quality on the circuit to anyone who comes to enjoy this great test.
International triathletes of the caliber of David Castro, with two decades of experience at the national level and several international podium finishes, have already confirmed their participation in this major event. “I’m drawn to doing a Half Ironman in the capital; it’s a very attractive circuit. I haven’t lived in Madrid for very long, and I’m keen to race here even though I haven’t been able to train much since I’ve been sidelined for almost a year due to an injury. Another reason is the guaranteed quality of these races; the organizers really take care of the triathletes. I’ve been wanting to compete in one of these circuits for a while, and this weekend, it’s coming to Madrid!”
