We interview Marcel Zamora Next goal ironman pucón 70.3

The Catalonian Triathlete Marcel Zamora, who among his most representative titles has the title of 5 times winner of the Ironman of Nice in addition to 2 times winner of Embruman, test considered one of the hardest of long distance, will start the 2013 season in the Ironman from Pucón.

Agrosuper Ironman Pucón is presented today as one of the most important tests of the IronMan brand due in large part to its "longevity" and to having attracted today the most important triathletes on the international scene.

A few weeks ago we saw you compete and now with a new challenge in sight. Have you had time to rest? How do you feel?

I finished my season at the 7 in October at Natureman de Verdon, in France.

Then I went to Madrid and Malaga presenting my book "WHO WANTS A BETTER LIFE".

Now I have been traveling on vacation for a month in Bali, the next few days I will be in Korea and the US, with which I will start training a little shortly for the 70.3 in Pucón.

Start of the Ironman season in Pucón Could you give us a preview of your objectives for the 2013 season in the short and medium term?

I will start in Chile with the 70.3, then I will do two races with mtb, the Andalucía bike Race, with my partner brother.

After the CAPE EPIC in South Africa, with Joan Llordella as a partner and I hope that these two tests will help me to get in good shape to start the most important competitions of the season.

In April I already hope to be very well to play the Samui triathlon in Thailand.

For May or early June I would like some IM, but nothing has yet been finalized and as a main objective, to return to Embrun to get a new victory.

In September I imagine that I will try to return some of the races that I did this 2012, but there is nothing closed either.

It will be a long and hard season, but at the moment it is presented with enthusiasm.

Why Pucón, who has this Ironman that attracts the best triathletes in the world at this distance?

I think for different reasons, in my case because I've always wanted to go for the place and the good reputation that this race has, I think it's very different from the majority of 70.3, in the case of many other international triathletes, because it catches them Well dates because in your country it is summer.

Also keep in mind that now many pros seek points for hawai in all official races.

About the circuit and climatic conditions of this test How do you see it? Do you think they suit your physical conditions?

Sure it will be a hard race like I like, especially on foot, but for me it will be harder than normal to be so soon and right after a long break, but I will try to make a good result.

The water imagines that it will be very cold to be a mountainous area and in the bike and race maybe the height or volcanic area issue also make it harder.

What is your goal in this test and for the new season itself?

The objective is to be a month in Chile and Paraguay with the people of Compressport, to start training well with warmth and in the competition to try to get good feelings for what will come in the following months.

Like all the years that I have as a professional, the main objective will be to be as high as possible and try to enjoy it to the fullest and above all, I touch wood, not injure myself and feel very comfortable.

I also want to thank the entire organization of 70.3 in Pucón for the interest they have had in my participation and all the help received.

There are no previous results.
