Marta Cabello and Saúl Escarabajal win the last qualifier for the national Elite Duathlon in Villafranca de los Barros
On a day marked by good weather Marta Cabello y Saúl Scarabajal, both representatives of the Diablillos de Rivas club, won the last qualifier for theThe Spanish Duathlon Championship Elite, held in Villafranca de los Barros.
The qualifier, which took place in the heart of Extremadura, was accompanied by a great atmosphere and the holding of tests for minors organized by the Extremadura Triathlon Federation, in addition to the regional cadet Duathlon championship.
Marta Cabello won in the Female Elite category with a time of 1h00:42, beating Sandra Schenkel, also from Diablillos de Rivas, for less than thirty seconds.
The third position went to Mariona Avila, from Katoa Barcelona.
For its part, Saúl Scarabajal He won the men's event with a time of 52:56, overtaking his competitors in a very tight final.
