A new MD is born, the La Manga Triathlon Challenge

The warm coast of Murcia will see the birth of a distance Triathlon event HALF y Olympic Saturday 15 April in La Manga.

The objective is to create a different event, in family, solidary through sport and sustainable financing model with the environment giving value to local products that reduce the impact and carbon footprint of the event to improve the environment we inhabit.

Circuits

The swimming will be in the Mediterranean Sea, specifically in Playa de Levante near the Hotel & Spa Entremares, where the boxes and the finish line will be located.

Cycling is completely flat on an urban and closed route along the Gran Vía de la Manga and the urban route on foot along the bike lane and Paseo de Levante to the Cabo de Palos Lighthouse.

The region of Murcia in Cartagena, lacked a medium distance triathlon, being an ideal place due to the climate with an average temperature of 20º and its waters, with an average annual temperature of 18º and its tranquility make it an exceptional place for practice of all kinds of sports.

In an ideal area to enjoy a family weekend as the test is on Saturday.

Distances

You can choose between two distances; Half and Olympic and you can participate individually or by relay.

HALF Swim 2,1km + Bike 80km + Run 20km
OLYMPIC Swim 1,5 km + Bike 40 km + Run 10 km
AQUA BIKE Swim 2,1 km + Bike 80 km

The test already has more than 100 registered in just 8 days, take advantage of the promotional prices of €99 in the Half and €59 for the Olympic for the first of each distance.

In order to carry out this test, the organization has the support of the Manga Consortium, the Cartagena and San Javier Town Halls as well as the Murcian Triathlon Federation and numerous companies, clubs and volunteers in the Murcia region.
