Ocenalava (Lanzarote) welcomes this weekend the Spanish Triathlon LD Championship

In the female category, the great favorite will be Gurutze Frades, who will go out in search of revalidating his title that he has held since 2011. In the men's category the podium will be very disputed.

 

 

In the women's test we can count on other great favorites to the podium and habitual Top5 in long distance tests, in a list that will only have 7 girls in the starting line.

The men's event will be the one that certainly brings the excitement to this event. Great triathletes of the stature of Víctor del Corral who comes from participating in Kona o Alejandro Santamaría who recently got fourth place in the MD European Championship

We will also have the presence of the current LD Spain Champion, Richard Calle, and other reference triathletes as Raúl Amatriain, who has already achieved several titles in medium and long distance, and Gustavo Rodríguez, current Campeón of Spain of MD and recent bronze medal at the MD European Championship held at Challenge Paguera.

 

Over a distance of 3 km by swimming, 120 km by bike and 30 km by foot race, tomorrow 1 November Saturday by 08.00 will be the first start of the Spanish Long Distance Triathlon Championship in the female category.

 

To this first exit will continue and only a few minutes later the exit in category Paralympics  to continue to the 08: 10 with the elite male event to which the age groups will go.

As a novelty this year, the event will be transferred to the capital of Arrecife. The departure will be from the beautiful Playa Del Reducto, with the aim of extending the celebration and offer the opportunity to enjoy the atmosphere to family members who come to enjoy this event, which will also have a test that will run on the Olympic distance.
