Valencia Duathlon by MTRI turned the Paseo de la Alameda into a dream stretch for the duathletes who were encouraged to experience this first edition of the test, on a day with spectacular weather.

And turning the city center into a space for the sport of transitions was a matter of time for the organization, the Valencian Community Triathlon Federation, which really wanted to bring triathlon to the emblematic axis of the city: Turia River bed – Paseo de la Alameda – Puente de las Flores.
More than 350 people They trusted the test, and signed up for one of the 3 modalities, all of them in supersprint distance, since Mediterránea Triatlón aims to facilitate the sport of triathlon to all those who have not yet been encouraged to do it, popularize it and grow its audience. , in practice and animation.
This is how the València Duathlón by MTRI was born, which on this occasion featured more than 80% of popular athletes, of which 40% have been women. Another of the organization's objectives is to expand the practice among the female public.
Yesterday, from the Puente de las Flores, the 3 modalities: individual supersprint, double supersprint and couples supersprint, The latter being the one with the most registered participants, as couples could combine any sex and match any athlete profile, regardless of level.
Finally the test was for Pau Ortega of the Tridimonis and Rebecca Wood of the CDT Resistentia T3 in individual Supersprint.
The Double Supersprint was for Diego Lledo of CT Gandia and Mª Jesús Muñoz dthe Tricanet of Berenguer. In the pairs modality, the winners in male pairs were the triathletes of the technical training team of the CV Triatló Federation, Guillem Gumbau y David Blanes.
In female couples Amparo Ferrer y Montserrat Lloret, and finally in mixed, Carolina Font tShe is also a TRICV technician along with her father Tony Font. Both triathletes from CEA Bétera.
