Salamanca hosts this weekend the Spanish Triathlon and Aquabike MD Championship

The city of Salamanca is preparing to be the epicenter of the Spanish triathlon this weekend.

The beautiful university city will be the scene of the Spanish Triathlon Championship and Aquabike Medium Distance (M.D.).

The championship will take place on Saturday June 17 where the triathletes will compete under the medium distance format.

They will have to swim 1.900 meters in the Tormes River, cycle 90 kilometers in two laps, and to finish a 20-kilometre run on the river promenade and the Roman Bridge, also in two laps.

This event is not only important nationally, but it is also part of the calendar of the Spain Cup Medium and Long Distance Triathlon, and the Individual Ranking of Medium and Long Distance.

Among the participants, the presence of Laura Gomez, Marta Sanchez o Chloe Serra among others.

In the male test we found Fernando Zorrilla, Gonzalo Fuentes, Iñaki Baldellou o Pello Osoro among others.

Schedule

The elite events of the championship will begin at 15:00 p.m. for the masculine category and at 15:05 h. for the feminine.

The Paratriathlon tests will start at 15:07 p.m., followed by the Age Groups from 15:10 p.m. The Aquabike for Age Groups will take place at 15:20 p.m.
