Saleta Castro 1º and Víctor del Corral 2º in the Cros Triathlon of Desafío Octava Isla
The Eighth Island Challenge consists of a cros triathlon, and a mountain trail
Saleta Castro has been imposed on the 3º edition of this test while Víctor del Corral Finish in second position.
The test that consisted of covering 1 km of swimming, followed by 20 km of BTT on a very fast circuit and where they had to cross some dumas and ending the test with 6 km of running on foot.
Stephen Bayliss and Maria Saleta Castro provisionally lead the 8 Island Challenge in the absence of the 31 Trail to be held on Sunday
Because there are several triathletes on the island doing the preseason, the test has had a good level with the presence of Yvonne Van Verklen, Saleta Castro, Antonio Alexis Perdomo Cabrera and María Elena Fernández Barreto, these last winners of last year.
today the challenge will be decided with the mountain race of 31 km where the athletes will run the island running.
