Sebastian Kienle second in the Norseman Xtreme Triathlon
El Norseman Xtreme Triathlon, one of the toughest and most exciting tests of the international triathlon circuit has concluded with the second place of Sebastian Kienle.
The German, will retire this year and he is ending the season in great shape.
The race started in sunny weather and optimal conditions, but the arrival of a storm at Mt. Gausta drastically changed the scenery.
The organizers were forced to modify the finish of the competition, taking all the competitors to the “white” finish line traditionally reserved for those who do not meet the cut.
Sebastian Kienle, the German Ironman world champion, led the competition out of the water, but was overtaken by the Norwegian Jon Breivold, who finished with a six-minute lead in the cycling stage.
Brutal violence maintained his lead throughout the marathon, finishing in 9:09:57, followed by Kienle in 9: 34: 16. Allan Hovda from Norway completed the podium.
In the female category, Flora Colledge of Great Britain took the win in 11:20:10. Behind her were the Norwegians Emily Bergheim (11: 31: 44) and Kaja Bergwitz-Larsen (11: 36: 43).
