Getxo turns the triathlon in the seventh round of the ŠKODA Triathlon Series

Borja Gutiérrez took a deserved triumph in the Olympic and set the record of the test in a time of 1: 49: 05

 

 

Great triathlon day lived this morning in Getxo, where 900 athletes have gathered to star in the seventh round of the circuit ŠKODA Triathlon Series.

On a sunny morning, perfect for sports, the good atmosphere and the large audience in all segments have been the predominant notes of a day without cars where the triathlon has invaded the city.

Record by Borja Gutiérrez

The first to start have been those who disputed the Olympic distance. Borja Gutiérrez has managed to be the fastest and has made a comfortable victory when crossing the finish line at 1: 49: 05. Behind, Gonzalo García (1: 53: 38) and Carlos Avelino López (1: 54: 04). In the female category, the triumph has been for María Gabriela Pintos, in a time of 2: 13: 00. The podium has been completed Lorena Esteban (2: 22: 56) and Almudena Montalvo (2: 25: 25).

In a day of triathlon for all, the triumph in the Sprint was for Jordi Giménez in 0: 58: 56, who has doubled and also climbed to the podium for relays. The first woman was Eider Fuentes, in 1: 07: 14.

Last section of the season

After this competition, the biggest popular triathlon circuit faces the final stretch of the season, in which it will visit Málaga and Gijón, before putting the finishing touch on the Catalan town of Gavà.
