Taylor Knibb IRONMAN 70.3 World Champion

Today a new edition of the IRONMAN World Championship 70.3 in St. George (Utah).

The first to come out of the water was Lucy Charles followed by Lotte Wilms and Taylor Knibb in third position. 30 seconds later Flora Duffy and Holly Lawrence came out.

From the beginning of the cycling segment, the North American Knibb left with a strong pace passing through kilometer 20 of the circuit with an advantage of 1:13 over Duffy and 1:22 over Charles.

Little by little, she increased her advantage to reach T2 with 6:44 ahead of Lucy Charles, Flora Duffy and Paula Findlay who arrived together.

Taylor Knibb in the 21-kilometre run he continued to increase his lead to reach the finish line with a time of 4:03:20.

In the fight for the rest of the medals, Charles, Duffy and Findlay were together until km 10 where the British was left behind.
