The Ibiza Triathlon Spanish Cup test for the Multisport Triathlon World Championship

This Sunday Ibiza will host hundreds of triathletes who will participate in the last stop of the Spanish Cup of Medium and Long Distance

This Sunday will take place in Ibiza the last stop of the Spanish Cup of Triathlon of medium and long distance.

The island will once again be the national epicenter of the triathlon, in an event that will host hundreds of triathletes like every year.

The most disputed edition of recent years is expected with a magnificent poster in which the current champion of Spain will not be missing, Víctor Arroyo, Pablo Dapena or the Australian triathlete Nick Kastelein, among others.

In females, the presence of Anna Noguera, which will be measured against rivals of the stature of Laura Gomez, Lucia Blanco or the local ones Indre Barkute y Susana Sevillano.

This weekend's commitment will be the prelude to next year's Multisport World Championship, being an unbeatable test bench for the Multisport World Cup, for stepping on the ground in situ and competing in conditions similar to those they may have in the World Cup event.

The World Championship is scheduled to start on Saturday, April 29 with the Elite, Under-23, Junior and Sprint Duathlon tests by Age Groups, followed the next day by the Paraduathlon, Standard Distance by Age Groups and Mixed Relay Duathlon.

World Championships, all of them, with scheduled departure and arrival in Santa Eulalia, a municipality located on the east coast of Ibiza.

On Tuesday, May 2, it will be the turn of the Cross Duathlon, which will take place in San Antonio, on the west coast of the island. On Thursday, May 4, the Cross Triathlon World Championship will be held, while the participants of the Aquathlon event will climb to the Santa Eulalia stage on Friday, May 5.
