Toledo inaugurates the first Triarch pavilion: an innovation that revolutionizes the world of triathlon

Triarch is an innovative fusion that unites two very different concepts: architecture and triathlon (TRIathlon & ARCHitecture).

Known as the architecture of triathlon, it was born in January 2015 as a result of the passion for this art and this sport.

An innovative and different initiative that aims to bring this sport closer to society through a sustainable installation, which lowers costs and facilitates triathlon training.

A revolution in the education sector

A project where architecture, sport, training and environment converge and that is a revolution in the education sector ”, explains Ignacio Medina, member of the team of architects of Grupo EnargchGy, the company that has carried out the project.

TriArch Schools is a new alternative to the extracurricular activities offered so far.

Through specialized monitors, students receive sports training both basic (initiation) and professional, but also emotional and environmental training.

This pavilion collects the energy produced by users when doing physical exercise, which seeks not only zero energy consumption (the surplus of energy, in addition, will reverse in the school itself), but help students understand the concept of sustainability, learning to reference their physical effort with which the planet is supposed to maintain our energy demand levels.

This project is committed to triathlon for being a multidisciplinary activity (swimming, cycling and running) where sports and logistics converge in equal parts, and with great physical and psychological benefits.

Any triathlete, regardless of their level, invests a large number of hours and works weekly a multitude of muscle groups, which also involves a constant mental exercise.

Integral training for the athlete

TriArch Schools offers comprehensive training from a sporting point of view with high doses of emotional and logistic management, teaching students to understand the importance of perseverance, to dose the effort, to organize guidelines and to follow proper nutrition and hydration .

The exterior and interior treatment of the TriArch pavilion has been devised, designed and built to benefit the user and the environment in equal parts.

Starting from psychogeography, it seeks to positively influence the user's emotions and favor sports.

TriArch Schools, open to everyone

TriArch Schools will not be exclusive to the students of the center, but will be at the service of everyone who wants it, whether or not it has started in the world of triathlon.

On the other hand, novice, amateur or elite triathletes will find in this pavilion an unprecedented space that, in addition to lowering costs, allows you to train the entire sports and transitional process of triathlon.

Thanks to its breadth of time it offers greater training possibilities, and being covered, weather changes are no longer a problem, and road safety is a guarantee, something demanded by triathletes, cyclists and runners.

Integral wooden envelope with high insulation rates, natural materials free of toxic chemical compounds and a mechanical ventilation system that regulates CO2 levels inside are some of the peculiarities that this pavilion houses and that manage to generate clean energy and contribute to The conservation of the environment.

International School San Patricio Toledo is the first educational center to host this architectural space that offers its students not only a complete sports training in which three different disciplines converge, but an education in values.
