This is the Triarmada that will be at the multisport Europeans in Bilbao

There are only a few days left for the great event of the multisport triathlon, where more than 8.000 people are expected to gather in the Triathlon European Championship Multisport Bilbao Bizkaia 2022.

The FETRI has announced the triarmada list, one of the most powerful teams where many of its members already know what it means to win a Spanish, European and even World Championship.

Duathlon European Championship

A triple world champion leads the duathlon event that takes place in Bilbao

The champion of Spain, the Galician CElizabeth Fernandez (Cidade de Lugo Fluvial), the triple world champion and king of Europe, the Andalusian Emilio Martín (Isbilya-Sloppy Joe's), the runners-up from Spain, the Valencian Noelia Juan (CEA Betera) and the Castilian-La Mancha María Varo (Tri Infinity Móstoles), as well as the champion of Spain, the Extremaduran Sonia Bejarano (Cidade de Lugo Fluvial), form the duathlon team.

 The test will take place in Bilbao, on a circuit whose neuralgic area will be in the Arenal Park and which will run through iconic sites such as the Guggenheim, the Itsasmuseum or the City Hall.

Cross Duathlon European Championship

Three champions of Spain, at the head of the Cros Duathlon that runs in Balmaseda-Enkarterri

The champions of Spain, the canary Rubén Velázquez (Réactivité Physiotherapy) and the Andalusian Sergio Correa (Isbilya-Sloppy Joe's), as well as the Spanish runner-up, the Castilian-Leonese Enrique Fernandez Pinedo (Soriano Triathlon), the champion of Spain, the Extremaduran Remedies Mendoza (Tri Infinity Móstoles) and Madrid Eva García (Marlins Triathlon Madrid) will be the representatives of the Cros Duathlon team.

The test will be held on Tuesday, September 20.

Balmaseda, in the Enkarterri region, will be the base of a discipline that combines mountain biking and running and whose start and finish will be set at the majestic church of San Severino, will cross the Plaza de los Fueros or the Old Bridge and will travel paths and formidable places of a unique territory.

A European champion leads the Spanish quintet in the Cros Triathlon in Bermeo-Urdaibai

The five-time world champion, the Andalusian Rubén Ruzafa (CD Vas), the champion of Spain, the Basque Pello Osoro (Alusigma Peñota Dental), the runner-up in the world and champion of Spain, the Castilian-Leonese Kevin Tarek Viñuela (Cidade de Lugo Fluvial), the Spanish runner-up, the Aragonese Martha Bourbon (Stadium Casablanca Mapei) and the champions of Spain, the Castilian-Leonese Marina Muñoz (Club Triathlon Soriano) and the Galician Saleta Castro (Cidade Fluvial Lugo), form the Cros Triathlon team.

The test will be held on September 22 and will pass through Bermeo and the Urdaibai Biosphere Reserve.

The waters of the fishing port up to Parque Lamera will make up the swimming segment, while the Demiku, Bazaran and Artike neighbourhoods, as well as the tracks around Katillotxu and Trikuharria and the most picturesque part of Bermeo will make up the bike and foot race

Aquathlon European Championship

Five champions of Spain and the Copa de la Reina head the list: The Castilian-Manchego David Castro (EQTR-Rodacal Beyem), the Madrilenian Nicholas Regidor (Marlins Triathlon Madrid), the Castilian-Leonese Kevin Tarek Viñuela (Cidade de Lugo Fluvial) and the champions of Spain and of the Copa de la Reina, the Asturian Paula Herrero (Saltoki Trikideak) and Natalia Hidalgo placeholder image (Cidade de Lugo Fluvial) join the world champion, the Catalan Sara Pérez Sala (Cidade de Lugo Fluvial), to form the team in the aquathlon test.

The event will take place on Friday, September 23 between the towns of Portugalete and Getxo, all for a discipline that combines a swimming event across the Bilbao Estuary and which will cross under the Bizkaia Bridge and the foot race that will take place next to the Arenas Beach in Getxo.

Six champions of Spain form the great team: The Valencian Emilio Aguayo (ANB Bodegas y Viñedos Labastida Triathlon), the Catalan Albert Moreno (ANB Bodegas y Viñedos Labastida), the Castilian-La Mancha Antonio Benito (Cidade de Lugo Fluvial), the Basque Helene Alberdi (Yepa! Triatloi Kluba), and the Catalans Judith Corachán (ANB Bodegas y Viñedos Labastida) and Laura Gomez (Saltoki Trikideak).

The test will be on September 24 in Bilbao in a Cros Triathlon test that combines swimming, cycling and running.

The Bilbao Estuary, the roads through the valley, the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao or the Itsasmuseum Bilbao, are some of the most spectacular places for the last test.

A roster packed with talent in the Junior and U-23 categories for Duathlon

As for the Junior and Under-23 Triarmada, the list is full of talent.

In the U-23 category, the Balearic Joan Wäger (Saltoki Trikideak) and Carlos Oliver (Diablillos de Rivas), the Madrilenian Nicolás Regidor (Marlins Triathlon Madrid), the Galician Iván Puentes (Ferrol Triathlon), the Castilian-Leonese Marina Muñoz ( Soriano Triathlon) and the Catalan Marta Romance (Independent) make up the list.

For his part, the Andalusian Manuel Inglada (TriTrain4You), the Madrilenian Pelayo González (Diablillos de Rivas), the Catalan Helena Moragas (Cidade de Lugo Fluvial) and the Andalusian María Teresa Jiménez-Orta (Saltoki Trikideak) form the call for the Juniors to the European Bilbao Bizkaia.
