Triathlon of Cáceres: A triathlon of ten with two luxury winners by Felipe Gutiérrez

It is clear that in Extremadura things are doing very well on the part of FEXTRI and this test was undoubtedly a sample of it.

Yesterday was held in Cáceres one of the tests that granted 15 places for the Spanish Elite Triathlon Championship.

Sometimes we look for quality tests and we only found one more proof of this or that calendar of this or that autonomy, and those of us lucky enough to go to Cáceres could see a test that ended in the center of the city and followed by many people in the historic center.

It is clear that in Extremadura things are doing very well on the part of FEXTRI and this test was undoubtedly a sample of it.

SARA PEREZ WON IN WOMEN

Sara Peréz in the Cáceres Triathlon

From the first meters of the swim and as it was what we all thought at the edge of the Guadiloba Reservoir when the warm-up started Sara Perez of the X3M (1º 2: 17: 59) left her rivals and achieved an income of almost three minutes on Ana Mariblanca from the Rea Canoe Triathlon Store (3ª 2: 24: 06 and 1ª Sub 23) and Estefanía Domínguez from the Cidade de Lugo Fluvial (2ª 2: 22.46) who were the chasers in the little more than 1.500 meters (there they were it was the hand to the organizers, the sneaks of the GPS were going 200 or 300 meters more).

Sara took the bike with that tranquility and I still got more desire when she saw in one of the turns that Ana and Estefanía seemed to be satisfied with coming together to Cáceres and that they were not "blinded" in the pursuit. That's what Chus Til (4º 2: 26: 07) used to contact them, almost reaching the center of the city.

On the way to foot Sara already ran controlling at all times to their rivals and although Estefanía tried to cut it did not achieve enough, crossing Sara Perez the goal in first position.

In veterans 2 was Ascensión Torres del Tricai the winner (11º 2: 44: 50), while in veterans 1 the victory went to Belén Palomeque of CTOndarreta Alcorcón (12º 2.45: 27).

Strong fight in the men's event where the test was finished in the hard race on foot through the streets of Cáceres and was followed by numerous public since the area of the historic center was full of people visiting the city and surprised by the triathletes who enjoyed in those circuits. There he achieved victory Alberto González of the Nfoque Race Team (1º 1: 57: 36), he ran to win and leave all his bicycle companions without that victory.

Out of the reservoir was the Valencian Victor Benages CTHuracán Valencia (3 º 1: 58: 30) which marked the pace of the test and opened the long line that led to the area of transition to triathletes.

In the bicycle marked the best part Daniel Hurtado of the Triathlon Ondarreta Alcorcón (14 º 2: 01: 45) that was ahead of the group to make the best partial and although in the end it could be the 14º getting narrowly the place for the Elite Spain Championship .
