Gustavo Rodríguez and Estefanía Gómez winners of the XXVIII Guadalajara Triathlon

Last Saturday 7 in September the XXVIII edition of the oldest triathlon in Spain, the Guadalajara Triathlon.

 

The test started the 13: 30 in the Couple's Azud, where the triathletes would have to cross the 1900 meters of swimming, followed by 87 kilometers by road bike ending with 20 kilometers of the race on foot, ending at the athletics tracks of the city of Guadalajara.

 

 

The women's race began commanded by Eliana Krist Sotelo, who was ahead in the swim to Estefanía Gómez and Miriam Muñoz, who lost after those first 1900 meters for about a minute, but would immediately take the head of the test Estefanía Gomez, not to leave it until crossing the finish line, despite the fact that Ana Casares, who marked the best partial rider, was behind many positions.

 

In the end in goal Estefanía Gómez it would be first, repeating his victory of 2012, with 4h41'05 ", Ana Casares second with 4h44'55 "and Mabel Gallardo third with 4h52'02.

 

In guys the fastest in swimming would be David Castro, who would take almost 2 minutes of rent with the rest of favorites, but this would not be enough to distance the great favorite, Gustavo Rodríguez, who already in the 15 kilometer of cycling would take the head of career.

 

Behind would be followed by Sergio Marqués and José Almagro, who appeared in the transition to the second and third foot race, positions that would not be altered until the finish line. Gustavo Rodríguez would also allow himself the luxury of scoring the best part of the running race, despite having obtained an income of ten minutes in cycling, since his pursuer, Sergio Marqués, is credited as a great runner.

 

Therefore, in the goal, Gustavo Rodríguez ended first with 3h58'23, followed by Sergio Marqués second with 4h20'56 ", and third Jose Almagro third with 4h25'219 ".
