Mari Cruz Aragón and Joan Freixa take over the Ansó Winter Triathlon

The competition has been held this January 25 in the town of Ansó (Huesca).

 

 

Mari Cruz Aragón y Joan Freixa they have achieved victory in the first test of the Trangoworld Spain Cup of Winter Triathlon.

Freixa has marked the differences from the beginning, surpassing the rest of rivals at the end of the first segment of 7,5 km of foot race that has passed through the streets of the town of Ansotana. The strong gusts of wind, which approached the 60 km per hour, made difficult the stretch of 20 km cyclists, making this second sector a determining factor.

The triathlete of the CERRR Igualada endured the challenge in the lead and maintained the lead throughout the 9,3 final km of cross-country skiing, to cross the finish line in 1: 56: 45. Behind, Pello Osoro del Saltoki Trikideak arrived at 50 second of the winner to hang the silver medal and Sebastià Catllà (PC Bonavista) was classified third to 4 minutes and 26 seconds of Freixa.

Mari Cruz Aragón has won the women's category. The SDR Arenas triathlete, has dominated from the first race sector on foot, placing in the lead during the competition, to finally establish a final record of 2: 35: 51. More than two and a half minutes has gone the second classified, Soraya Garcia Mountain Bike Somiedo. While Maite Murgia (Trigoi TT) has signed the bronze medal, culminating her participation with a time of 2: 42: 55.

 For his part, in paratriathlon Rafael Solis achieved the gold medal, in a scenario that marked the premiere of the 2015 edition of the Trangoworld Spanish Cup of Winter Triathlon. At the same time, the Aragon and Madrid Championships of the modality were also at stake.
