This Mid Distance Triathlon aims to become a benchmark in its first edition.

The next 12 of October the town of Empuria, located in full Costa Brava, will host the first edition of this Media Distance Triathlon, unique in the province of Gerona, which aims to become a benchmark in its first edition.

Recognized names of the Average Distance as they are Dolça Ollé o Aimar Aguirresarrobe they have already confirmed their presence in this event together with other renowned triathletes  Robert Mayoral, Joan Monguillot and Manel Vaca, other outstanding athletes from other disciplines like the case of Hector Ruíz 13th Open Water World Championships and Champion of Spain, or the Paralympic Dani Llambrich who will share the circuit with his guide Cisco Juárez in the PT5 category.

With only 300 places available, this event has been "love at first sight" for the triathletes, where the organization had to hang the "complete" sign three weeks before the competition.

HALF EMPURIA It is characterized by being a circuit that stands out for its tranquility in the one-lap swimming segment, the safety of its "no-drafting" cycling circuit within Natural Park "Els Aiguamolls de l'Empordà ", and the fast foot race that runs along the promenade and the greenway that accompanies the natural path of the Muga river of that town.

A deployment of resources has put the organization at the service of the triathlete as well as a Local City Council fully involved in the event, where there will be kayaks and boats for the swimming segment, 15 bikes to control the cycling route and ensure a "Fair Play" in a circuit "no drafting" and more than 100 people among volunteers and staff that will ensure that this event goes perfectly and becomes its first edition in a test benchmark Media Distance nationwide.
