Iván Tejero will participate in the IBERMAN LD, "I can assure you that the surroundings are fantastic to enjoy the triathlon and the stay"

Iván Tejero is one of the triathletes of reference within the national scene. International with Spain in the years 2005, 2008 and 2010, this malagueño of adoption counts in his palmarés with the triumph in the Half Ironman of Guadalajara or in the Middle Ironman Titan Sierra de Cádiz. 

 

 

From Triathlon News we interviewed him about his participation in the IBERMAN LD of the next June 14

 

Why did you choose IBERMAN LD?

I miss preparing an Ironman and by date it was very good for me. Besides, they spoke well of him and also of the recently organized Media Distancia. I am looking for familiarity, treatment, price, environment, closeness, "essence" ... and to go further.

 

What can you tell our readers about the Iberman circuit? Any point to highlight?

I was in the area on several occasions for other triathlons a few years ago and I can assure you that the surroundings are fantastic to enjoy the triathlon and the stay. Of the circuit I can still only guide myself by the profiles but I know that it will promise and, being the contrary of the last year, more accessible and enjoyable as well as the foot race that is flat and for very beautiful places.

 

You have recently won a mountain marathon. Do you think it will give you a touch of strength in the Triathlon?

I do not know if more strength but maybe more confidence. I did it at the risk of staying a bit touched but I enjoyed it a lot and I think I recovered well from it.

 

Do you see yourself with options for the victory of the Iberman LD?

 

I see myself with options but evidently only if I can make a stable Ironman and well done. No people "catch" anywhere and any mistake would cost me the race.

 

How do you plan this season? What is your main objective?

This season I do not have specific goals. I live day by day trying to recover economically, following what the heart dictates more than my head and enjoying the close tests that make me want to do so without needing to go further because here I also find what I'm looking for, Triathlon of the good.
