In the 40 km of cycling, the leading group maintained their advantage until reaching the last lap where the chasing group of 14 units managed to catch up. The group arrived next to T2 to dispute the last 10 km of the race with everything to decide. Anna Godoy had to retire
What a group through T2 that was, so much quality in there with GB's @sophiecoldwell out first! @georgiatb leads with her but @KZaferes6 lost some ground thru transition but she will have 10km to make it up alongside the likes of Alice Betto, @rachelklamer pic.twitter.com/m4Af3bgzBS
