This training published on the web triathlete help us aaincrease speed and improve the ability to change rhythms, something very important that all triathlon swimmers need to learn.
Depending on your speed and level of swimming, you may have to shorten this exercise to adjust it in one hour. If this is the case, it is best to reduce the swim sections from 300 meters to 200 or 250 meters instead of reducing the intervals of 25 meters.
This is the training:
Heating
- 200 meters, easy
Main phase
- 16 x 25 meters, each 4 long, make 1 fast
- 300 meters, continuous
- 12 x 25 meters, each 3 long, make 1 fast
- 300 meters, with pallets
- 8 x 25 meters, each 3 long, make 1 fast
- 300 meters, pull buoy
- 4 x 25 meters, all fast
- 300 meters, with pallets and pull buoy
Cooling
- 200 meters, easy
