The bike rental service without stations Obike is already in Madrid

Obike, the Singaporean bicycle rental company without need for collection or return stations has landed this Wednesday in Spain and does so in the capital, according to the company announced in a press release.

The initial fleet in Madrid will have several hundred bikes and will offer the service for free during the first month. To become a user you must make a deposit of 49 € which will be fully refundable. This payment is made with the objective that the user makes a responsible use of the bicycle.

Obike allows manage everything from your official App, available for iOS and Android. Once registered, users can locate the nearest oBike and rent it by scanning a QR code on the bike with their mobile phones. Once its use is finished, the bicycle can be deposited in any nearby public place and once locked, the user can pay for the service through the application.

Thanks to the fact that it is not necessary to locate collection or return stations, the service reduces tangible costs such as station costs and the massive use of space, while improving the user experience of bicycles in the public domain.
