Experts and cyclists reject the proposal and call for more respect for car drivers

The Royal Automobile Club of Spain (RACE) has proposed that the card for cyclists points, in addition to forcing them to take out insurance and bring a license plate to be able to identify them.

The RACE has included this proposal within its new action plan to stop the increase in deaths on Spanish roads, with the rejection of cycling groups and several experts in road safety. Since this card arose from the need to reduce the imprudence of drivers who caused many deaths a year, which does not happen in cyclists. In the opinion of the experts, it would be necessary to modify the law of circulation to give more presence and respect to cyclists. This system is not established in any country in the world and could cause a rejection of the use of bicycles in our country.
