Markel Uriarte Bate The Guinness Record Of The Hour To A Wheel

The Orbea biker has covered 29,94 km. with his Orbea Alma in the velodrome of Anoeta surpassing the previous mark (25,72 km) established by the Swiss Manuel Scheidegger.

 The Orbea Enduro Crew biker has smashed the Guinness Record and the World Record for one hour on one wheel after traveling 29,94 km. about his Orbea Alma in a spectacular challenge held today at the Antonio Elorza de Anoeta Velodrome.

The distance to overcome was not easy. The 25,72 km. established by the Swiss Manuel Scheidegger last year forced the experienced Orbea biker to complete two laps per minute at this velodrome, which has a rope line of 285,714 m.

The lightness and maneuverability of the Orbea Alma were crucial to overcome this particular fight against the clock that began at 15:30 p.m. For 60 minutes, Markel made a show of the resistance, technique and concentration acquired by competing in the Enduro modality, and also facing challenges such as climbing the Tourmalet on a wheel, which have served to proclaim himself the record holder of the hour on a single wheel.
