The police searched Nairo Quintana's hotel in the Tour de France

It was during his stay at the Méribel ski resort, the arrival and departure point for stages 18 and 19.

French police searched the hotel rooms occupied by the team Arkéa-Samsic on Wednesday night during the dispute of stages 18 and 19 of the Tour de France,

As reported by sports world, the rooms of Nairo Quintana  and other cyclists from the rest of the Arkéa-Samsic team were searched by the French police.

It was during his stay at the Méribel ski resort, arrival and departure point of stages 18 and 19.

The police entered the rooms of Nairo, his brother Dayer and Winner Annacona, as well as the masseurs and drivers of the team's vehicles.

Some French media report thate this police action was carried out as part of a preliminary investigation, without the participation of the French Anti-Doping Agency (AFLD).

The operation, which has not produced any result, was decided autonomously, without agreeing with the French Agency for the Fight against Doping (AFLD). Therefore, the reasons for the search, nor the details of the process, are currently unknown.

It is not the first time that the OCLAESP (Central Office for Combating Threats to the Environment and Public Health) intervenes in this way in the Tour de France.

In fact, in 2017 they already looked for 'electric motors' in bicycles with the intention of curbing possible mechanical doping.
