More than 1.500 athletes will be at the start of the National Duathlon League

This weekend, Albacete becomes the epicenter of the Spanish duathlon with the start of the National League of Duathlon Clubs 2024.

The city welcomes more than 1.500 athletes and nearly 100 clubs, who will compete in the opening days of this exciting championship.

The Abelardo Sánchez Park and its adjacent avenues will be the scene of this competition that includes the Spanish Duathlon Championships for Clubs and Mixed Relays.

The event was officially presented with the participation of the Mayor of Albacete, Manuel Serrano, the President of the Provincial Council, Santiago Cabanero, and the General Director of Youth and Sports of Castilla y León, Carlos Yuste, among others.

The competition will begin on Saturday, February 24 with the Spanish Club Duathlon Championships, followed by the Mixed Relay Duathlon on Sunday the 25th.

In addition, the Albacete Popular Duathlon will give fans the opportunity to be part of this great sporting event.

The diversity of categories will feature more than a thousand athletes, representing 39 clubs from the First and Second Division, and as many from the Third Division, both in the male and female categories.

The city, known for its rich cultural and gastronomic offer, is presented as an ideal setting not only for athletes, but also for their companions.
