4 months until the OTSO Challenge Salou 2024 

El OTSO Challenge Salou is right around the corner, and with just four months left, the excitement among the triathlete community is intensifying. 

This event, established as an essential event on the international sports calendar, promises an unforgettable experience for veteran athletes and those new to triathlon. 

The competition will be held in Salou on June 2th, 2024, a city known for its natural beauty, dream beaches and a climate that invites self-improvement outdoors.  

Salou is not only a top tourist destination, but also a perfect setting for a triathlon competition, where participants will be able to enjoy a challenging circuit while delighting in views of the Mediterranean. 

Distances  

El OTSO Challenge Salou It is distinguished by offering a variety of distances that adapt to the abilities and objectives of each triathlete, from the most experienced to those looking to get started in this sport.

This year, it includes categories ranging from the demanding Middle Distance until accessible Family Run, ensuring that each participant finds their place in this sports festival.

• Middle Distance (02-06-24): The queen test of the event, with 1,9 km of swimming, 90 km of cycling and 21 km of running. This distance is available in both mode Individual as in Relays, allowing athletes to compete alone or as a team, adding a strategic and camaraderie component to the competition.
• Short Distance (02-06-24): Designed for those looking for an intermediate challenge, this category includes a 1,9km swim, 60km bike ride and 11km run. It is the perfect option for triathletes who want to experience the intensity of triathlon in a more accessible distance.
• Fast Distance (02-06-24): With 950m of swimming, 30km of cycling and 5km of running, this distance is designed to be fast and vibrant, ideal for competitors looking for an introduction to the world of triathlon or for those who prefer shorter, faster competitions.
• Family Run (01-06-24): In an effort to include the entire family in the spirit of triathlon, the OTSO Challenge Salou introduces a 2km race open to participants of all ages. This activity is celebrated the day before the main competitions, creating a festive and community atmosphere between athletes and their loved ones.

Registrations  

Registration is now open and places are expected to fill quickly. 

The organizers have put a special emphasis on competitor experience, ensuring top quality services, from carefully planned transition areas to strategically located refreshment stations, all designed so that athletes only have to focus on giving their best.
