Gwen Jorgensen wins her second World Cup in a week

Two Spanish women in the Top10

Today, the Karlovy Vary World Cup in the city of Karlovy Vary, Czech Republic, where the victory has been for Gwen Jorgensen, his second victory in just 2 weeks, since he achieved victory in the Valencia World Cup.

The test was held at the Olympic distance, consisting of 1,5 km of swimming, 40 km of cycling and 10 km of running.  

In the women's category, the victory went to the North American Gwen Jorgensen with a time of 02: 03: 51, followed by Rachel Klamer (02: 03: 55) and for Marlene Gomez-Göggel (02: 04: 12). 

There were several Spanish athletes in the competition. Marta Pintanel Raymundo y Cecilia Santamaria Surroca They finished in the top ten, occupying seventh and eighth positions respectively. 

It was an impressive performance by Gwen Jorgensen in the Czech Republic, who dominated the final stages of the event and surpassed Rachel Klamer In the final line. 

Both athletes were in an intense battle during the second half of the 10 km race, which lasted until the finish line.  

Behind them, Marlene Gomez-Göggel He managed an impressive third place, despite receiving a 15-second penalty for a helmet violation.
