Iván Raña confirms his debut in Media Distancia: Ironman Lanzarote 70.3

A total of 800 registered, with British majority but with great Spanish triathletes, will be the athletes who will participate in the first edition of the Ironman 70.3 to be held next November 10 in Lanzarote.

The test will consist of 1,9 km of swimming, 90,1 kilometers by bicycle and 21,1 kilometers of running and triathletes of the stature of Victor del Corral (1st in Ironman Lanzarote 2012) o Saleta Castro (5th Ironman Lanzarote 2012) will be willing to measure their strength with other great favorites.

Iván Raña will be the one to surprise, after his top 10 in Auckland (New Zealand), in the Grand Final of the World Series that was played on the Olympic distance, the Galician triathlete will give his jump to the middle distance at this date this season, many of them leaving with the aim of achieving their place in the World Championship in Las Vegas over this distance

Another of the great triathletes who will represent Spain in this event competing in professional category will be Alejandro SantaMaría, newly landed from his participation in the IronMan of Kona, which will participate with other triathletes of elite category such as David Vazquez, Victor Arroyo, Richard Calle, Iván Tejero, Eva Ledesma, Peru Alfaro, Pedro Miguel Reig, along with all the participants who will compete in age groups.

In a circuit with spectacular landscapes, swimming will be done in the lake of La Santa, so that Puerto del Carmen will not be chosen in this case. With La Santa Club as the epicenter of the race, the cyclist will stop at Caleta de Caballo, Soo, Famara, Teguise, Tabayesco and Haría, and then return the competitors to La Santa. In this locality the part will be made complete on foot, with three laps to a circuit.
