Javier Gómez Noya: "I feel confident to be able to give it all on Sunday"

Javier Gómez Noya faces it to continue leading the classification after the victory in Auckland on 6 in April

The 27 Sunday is held in Cape the second scoring event for World Triathlon Series. This is a new scenario, because although in that country there have been great triathletes and races since the 80 years, it has not hosted any of the circuit that grants the world title.

Javier Gómez Noya he faces it to continue leading the classification after the victory in Auckland the 6 for April. Right after the New Zealand race he moved to Stellenbosch - some 40 kilometers east of Cape Town - where he has been training at a center for elite athletes in the best conditions. He already knew him from a rally in February and March of 2012, but it will be the first time he competes in this country.

With regard to the first appointment, the incorporation of the premises is recorded Richard Murray, someone very dangerous in the last phase, although it is not usual for him to reach the second transition in the top group because he is not the best swimmer.

On the other hand, the Olympic Champion will not be -decision taken two days ago- Alistair Brownlee, who after not participating in Auckland had registered Cape Town. Whoever is is going to go to the top from the first stroke, as in any triathlon of this level: "I am very excited to compete in South Africa as it is a place where I have come several times to train and I really like it. I'm going to go out for victory; and in case of not being first, to be as high as possible to face the score in the World Cup. I have already seen that the bike circuit is quite flat and I would have preferred it to be rough like the one in Auckland. The first days in Stellenbosch I felt tired from the race and the trip from New Zealand, but I already feel confident to be able to give it all on Sunday.".

The triathlon begins at 3 in the afternoon (same time there as in Spain), with sun and about 20 degrees expected and it can be seen live through the payment channel of the international federation triatlonlive.tv Swimming is 2 laps 750m in the sea at about 18º which will allow the use of the neoprene suit; cycling with 8 of 5km - flat but very buzzing with corners and roundabouts - and the phase with 4 laps of 2km with a quadrangular shape around the football stadium built for the 5 World Cup, in which Spain beat Portugal in 2010 / 1 final, and the Netherlands to Uruguay in 8 / 1final.
