The Spanish Triarmada seeks its third medal in the Cross Duathlon World Championship in Ibiza

This Wednesday, the national triathlon team will have a new opportunity to expand their medal table in the Ibiza Multisport World Cup.

El Cross Duathlon World Championship will be held in Sant Antoni de Portmany.

Currently our Triarmada co-leads the ranking of medals together with Great Britain.

Several components of the Triarmada will compete in the Cross Duathlon: Sergio Correa, Ruben Velazquez, Aleix Sellares, Enara Oronoz y Eva Garcia

These athletes will seek to follow in the footsteps of Mario Mola and Cristian Fernández, Duathlon and Aquathlon World Champions respectively in Ibiza.

Favorites in the Cross Duathlon World Championship

Among the favorites for the Cross Duathlon World Championship in Ibiza are the first three classified last year in Targu Mures: thibaut de smet (BEL), Sebastian Carabin (BEL) and Alessandro Saravalle (ITA).

These athletes will seek to repeat their success in the Ibizan event and fight for the medals in this high-level competition.

In the female category, one of the favorites will be last year's runner-up Carina Walse.

Contribution to the environment

The five athletes and the FETRI technicians, led by Samuel García, participated in the planting of 50 fruit trees in the regenerative farm of Terra Viva Ibiza, in Sa Forada.

This action is part of the Good Loop, a movement promoted by the Spanish Triathlon Federation to communicate the positive impact actions carried out in each event.
