Taylor Knibb wins Yokohama World Series

Miriam Casillas finishes eighth getting the best position to date

Today it has been played in Yokohama the first appointment of the World Triathlon Series, where the first test to be disputed has been the female one.

With a good starting line-up and with a powerful North American army that was playing a direct slot for the games, we have seen an exciting test on Olympic distance

The first to get out of the water were Summer Rappaport and Helena Carvalho followed closely by a group of 7 to 10 seconds with Knibb, Kasper, Spyvey among others. Miriam came out 40 seconds from the head of the race.

In the first laps of the cycling segment, two quite large groups were formed with almost all the favorites, although Katie Zaferes and Beth Potter were left praying wasting time.

In the final part, Taylor Knibb and Maya Kingma took the lead, leaving alone with a strong rhythm and reaching T2 with a 1½ minute lead over the chasing group, with all the favorites.

In the running race Taylor Knibb was increasing his advantage to finally get the victory with a time of 1:54:27 followed by Summer Rappaport (1: 54: 57) and for Maya knigma (1: 55: 05) occupying the third position.

Miriam Casillas With the eighth best partial of the foot race he managed to regain positions finishing in an eighth position with a time of 1:55:32.

With this position he has achieved his best place on the world circuit

With this victory the North American Taylor Knibb has obtained the place for the games
