Criteria for the 2025 MD Triathlon European Championships in Pamplona

The city of Pamplona is already preparing to host a large-scale sporting event in 2025: the European Middle Distance Triathlon (MD) and Aquabike ChampionshipsAs well as Aquathlon European Championship.

This set of championships will be held between May 16 and 17, 2025, making the capital of Navarra the epicenter of European triathlon during those dates.

The Spanish and Navarra Triathlon Federation, together with the Pamplona City Council, the Government of Navarra and the local Trikideak club are coordinating efforts to ensure that the organization of the event is impeccable.

Participation Criteria

The test is open to athletes of various age groups and sexes, with 25 places available per group.

Interested parties must meet several requirements to participate:

• MD Triathlon: They will need to have qualified in the 2024 Spanish Championship or be well positioned in the individual MD and LD Triathlon ranking at the end of the year.
• Aquabike: Similarly, classification in the 2024 Spanish Championship will be a requirement, in addition to the order of registration.

Dates

The European Middle Distance Triathlon and Aquabike Championships will be held on May 17, 2025, while the European Aquathlon Championships will be held in Aritzaleku on May 16, 2025.

Registration for the European Aquathlon Championship will open once the Spanish Championship in Almazán has passed, which will serve as the first classification criterion.
