A spectator causes a mass crash on the first stage of the Tour de France

Today has started one of the most important events of the international cycling calendar, the Tour de Francia where in the first stage the platoon has suffered 2 falls

It was because of a spectator carrying a banner which has caused the downfall of many runners.

Tony Martin, from the Jumbo-Visma, was the one who collided with the spectator causing half the platoon to hit the ground.

In the fall, the Team DSM rider Jasha Sutterling has been the worst stopped and has had to abandon in this first stage.

There was another fall 5 kilometers from the finish

The peloton suffered another crash in the first stage of the Tour, but this time 5 kilometers from the finish line.
