They arrest the driver who fatally ran over a cyclist in Nijar and fled
They found remains of his car at the scene of the accident, although he had reported that it was an accident with an animal
According to the efe agency, the Civil Guard arrested the alleged perpetrator of the outrage fatal to a 23-year-old cyclist in the municipality of Níjar (Almería).
The investigation began on September 17 after the lifeless body of the cyclist at kilometer 4,600 of the AL-3111 highway.
In the place remains of a vehicle were located who supposedly had hit the cyclist and then left without helping him.
Were analyzed these remains verifying that they were from a Peugeot 208, which served the Civil Guard to search for this model in nearby towns.
Thanks to having identified the model, the Almería Traffic Research and Analysis Group noticed that a person had shown up at its facilities communicating that he had collided with an animal on that road in the Nijar town of Campohermoso.
