It has been almost two weeks since Challenge Barcelona, one of the most relevant events on the national calendar and which this year was the Spanish Long Distance Triathlon Championship, where Miquel Blanchart and Gurutze Frades they managed to rise with victory.

Challenge Barcelona-Maresme year after year attracts more than a thousand triathletes come together to participate in this unique event and that is clearly differentiated by the commitment on the part of the organization to offer the highest quality in its circuits and attention to the triathlete .

This year, and from Triathlon News we were able to live the experience of knowing very closely the people that are part of the organization of the event, people of flesh and blood who fight to offer the best in an event of this caliber.

Challenge Barcelona, certainly did not leave us indifferent.

Challenge is something that goes beyond a pure competition, it is a shared feeling of struggle for a challenge, an illusion, where each person, from the volunteers, medical services, physiotherapy, organization, spectators ... is a key element so that the objective of all the triathletes participating in this test, it goes from being a challenge to being a reality.

During our stay at Challenge we were able to share a few hours with members of the organization, beings of flesh and blood, who work and fight to offer the maximum to the triathletes who trust each year in this circuit, and where the soul, without a doubt, is Jose María, a great person, human and hardworking who does not need any kind of recognition for what he does and who is always looking for balance and improvement in all the new challenges he undertakes.

Another person who did not leave us indifferent was Francesc, responsible for international relations, with whom we were able to share a few minutes and thus learn a little more about everything that this great event entails

"Calella is a population totally committed to sport and that year after year opens its doors to Challenge Barcelona-Maresme to welcome all the triathletes who come to participate in this competition. The sport is breathed in the streets, there is a popular feeling that can not be explained with words "

"Since Challenge made its first test in the 2009 growth and the love for this sport in the area has been exponential and every day there are more triathletes who come to train on the same circuits that runs the test"

“Behind the visible proof itself, is the organization. Ensuring that the development of a competition of this caliber goes perfectly involves a great job that lasts several months with the sole objective of being able to offer the best to the athlete. We are happy with the results but I also have to say that each test is an experience that helps us grow and where we always try to improve by giving the best of ourselves "

"The expressions of satisfaction and happiness when reaching the goal of triathletes who fulfill their dream of being a finisher are indescribable. For us it is a gift and a thank you to the job well done, as well as a thank you to all the people who live every day with the athletes who prepare this hard test, to the spectators that accompany them in each competition stage, as well as to the more than 500 volunteers who come every year to collaborate with the event. Challenge is something more, Challenge is a career of values, where you run and suffer and feel how far the human being can go and where each person is a part of this great achievement "
