The triathlon Challenge Peguera Mallorca returns next October 15 in Calvià (Mallorca) in its eighth edition with the intention of obtaining its third consecutive recognition as one of the best international tests of the Challenge Family cycle.

Changes in the circuit
In this edition and after consulting multiple participating athletes, the organization has decided to carry out a cSubstantial change in the first section of the route, the swimming part.
Instead of a 1,9 km loop route out to sea from Torà beach, a double lap of 950 meters in the vicinity of the coast.
In this way, the time that the participants spend in open water is reduced, management is facilitated by concentrating the action in a smaller space and the closeness with the attending public is improved, who will be able to watch the race and encourage their athletes for a longer time.
The other two stages maintain their layout and show, together with the swimming test, the essence of the island of Mallorca throughout its route.
In this sense, the section on bicycle consists of a double loop of 45 kms that crosses towns and coastal areas of Calvià, interspersing fast areas with other more technical ones.
Then begins the foot race along the boulevard and the promenade of Peguera, where neighbors and visitors gather in its lively final stretch.
This year is inside the Cup of Spain of Medium and Long Distance Triathlon.
Another novelty this year is the inclusion of the Challenge Peguera Mallorca within the Spanish Cup of Medium and Long Distance Triathlon.
The competition consists of six tests that are held from May to October and this year it runs through Girona, Pamplona, Logroño, Seville, Mallorca and, finally, in Ibiza.
Back to normal in 2022

In fact, participation is expected to exceed 1.300 people in the different modalities, from the professional competition to the Children's Challenge or the Women's Challenge.
