The German EJOT Team TV Buschhuetten wins the Mixed Relay Triathlon European Championship

The mixed club relay EJOT Team TV Buschhuetten German, has won the Triathlon European Championship for Mixed Relay Clubs 22 held in Banyoles, with a time of 1:18:26.

The team consisted of Jonas Schomburg, Lena Meißner, Maximilian Sperl, and Annika Koch,

The second position went to the Poissy Triathlon French, lining up Antoine Duval, Natalie Van Coevorden, Aurelien Raphael, and Leonie Periault, almost a minute behind the winners.

The third place, a minute and a half from the gold, was for the French club Metz Triathlon, with Casimir Moine, Summer Rappaport, Mathis Margirier, and Margot Garabedian.

The first Spanish team was the Cidade de Lugo Fluvial, in fifth place, while Saltoki Trikideak was classified eighth and Diablillos de Rivas ninth.

Junior Category

In the junior category, the French Metz Triathlon prevailed, forming with Nathan Simionato, Léonie Douche, Thomas Hansmaennel and Nora Nouri, with a time of 1:25:38.

A little less than two minutes later, Sport Lisboa e Benfica entered, lining up Gabriel Santos, Cassilda Carvalho, Diogo Tomé and Rafaela Cananó Silva.

The bronze medal went to Diablillos de Rivas, with Miqui Riera, Alejandra Martínez, Jorge Figueras and Carla Martínez, almost three minutes from the winning relay. Cidade de Lugo Fluvial was classified fourth.

The prizes for the Mixed Relay Triathlon European Championship for Clubs were presented by Mayor Banyoles, Miquel Noguer; the president of Europe Triathlon, Renato Bertrandi; and the president of the Spanish Triathlon Federation, José Hidalgo.

First day of the Spanish Championship

Great atmosphere and a very good weather day in Banyoles for the opening day of the Spanish Triathlon Championships in Olympic distance, which put the junior and youth titles at stake, as well as the medals in the different age groups. Massive participation in a day that included the traditional Triatló de Catalunya.

The first race of the day was female junior category, in which Alejandra Seguí, from CEA Bétera, prevailed with a time of 1:05:18, followed a little over 20 seconds by her teammate Sara Melitta Gimena, and with Lola Ramón, from La 208 Triathlon, in the third place.

Fourth entered a recovered Carla Guisande, from the Cidade Lugo Fluvial, and fifth Ana Gómez, from the Villalba Triathlon.

By teams, CEA Bétera prevailed, ahead of Cidade de Lugo Fluvial, and Saltoki Trikideak.

In the test male junior The gold was hung by David Cantero, from the University of Alicante, with a time of 55:44, thirteen seconds less than Raúl Gómez, from the Valladolid E-Triathlon, and 25 seconds less than Jorge Figueras, from the Diablillos de Rivas.

Fourth place went to Julen Andueza, from Saltoki Trikideak, and fifth place to Eloy Canales, from EQTR Rodacal Beyem. The champion team was Cidade de Lugo Fluvial, followed by E-Triatlon Valladolid, and La 208 Triathlon Club.

The category female youth It ended with the victory of Nur Ortega, from the Flor de Triathlon, with a great comeback in the foot race and a final time of 1:05:14.

The second place was for Zoila Sicilia, from the Valladolid E-Triathlon, at 34 seconds, and the third, at forty, for Nieves Navarro, from Saltoki Trikideak. Carla Martínez, from Diablillos de Rivas, and Marina Camps, from Safor Teika, completed the top five positions.

By teams, the Flor de Triatló won ahead of Infohouse Santiago and Triathlon Albacete Ingeteam.

In the youth event, Eneko de Castro, from Diablillos de Rivas, was victorious with a time of 57:08. Tight sprint for silver in which he was second, four seconds behind the winner, Héctor Tolsa, from CEA Bétera, beating Pao Millo, from ISD Huracán Puerto Sagunto, third, by one second.

Victor Criado, from the Extremaduran Capex, was classified fourth and bronze in the national, and Alejandro Pla, from Diablillos de Rivas, achieved fifth place.

By teams, Diablillos de Rivas prevailed, ahead of Flor de Triatló and Saltoki Trikideak.

During the afternoon the Age Group tests will be held, with a great sports party throughout Banyoles, and the traditional Triathlon of Catalonia.

Tomorrow, Sunday, the elite competitions are held

The elite Spanish Championship will be the protagonist of the day on Sunday.

At 9:45 a.m. the test will begin in the men's category and at 12:45 p.m., in the men's category.

Each of the triathletes must complete a circuit that includes 1.500 meters of swimming, 40 kilometers of cycling and 10 kilometers of running.
